Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting to reports that Ben White is set to be named in the England squad.
Gareth Southgate is set to name a 30-man provisional squad on Tuesday afternoon, and The Athletic reckon White is going to be in the mix.
White has of course shone for Brighton this season, but let’s not forget that Leeds United were the team that gave him the platform to grow last season in the Championship.
Leeds fans clearly still have a real affinity for White, and they’ve been reacting to the news of his call-up on social media.
As you can imagine, United supporters were buzzing to see one of their former favourites called-up, and they seem to think that he could be the man to lead the Three Lions to glory.
Sadly, this is only a provisional squad, so there is a chance that White doesn’t even go to the Euros next month, but the fact that he’s set for a call-up indicates that he has a good chance.
