Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko put in an anonymous performance last night for Spurs in their London derby with West Ham.

The Frenchman was recalled to the side for the fixture but failed to put in a compelling case for himself that he deserves to be a regular starter now Victor Wanyama is back from injury.

He was substituted after 73 minutes with Spurs 1-0 down, much to the relief of fans.

Sissoko simply failed to offer anything towards Tottenham’s attack, and struggled to leave any sort of imprint on the game.

The former Newcastle man has made some strides forward for Spurs this season, becoming a more regular part of the team, but his performance last night was reminiscent of last season.

Sissoko had no shots at goal and created no chances, while defensively he attempted just one tackle and made no interceptions.

Spurs came back to claim a 1-1 draw against their rivals, but it was no thanks to Sissoko, who was taken off before Son’s equaliser.
