Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko was given a chance, but could not take it.
Tottenham’s Moussa Sissoko in action
Moussa Sissoko’s season at Tottenham Hotspur has been little short of disastrous.
His over the top transfer fee meant demands on him to produce were high, but really fans were realistic enough to know to tempter expectations.
Even so, they expected better than his insipid performances, and the Frenchman seems to be getting worse with each appearance.
Last night against Swansea he continued this trend, despite being handed a rare start.
He could not impress, substituted after 61 minutes having been more of a detriment to the team than an asset.

Playing on the wing, Sissoko’s inclusion meant the team lacked balance, and only did they improve when Vincent Janssen came on up front and Son could move back out wide.
Sissoko managed 44 touches, completing 82 per cent of his passes, creating one chance. Not horrendous by any stretch, but he did not get close to influencing the game in a positive manner. To change the dismal story of his season, he needed far better.
The Frenchman’s chances are running out, and he can’t have too many more left. Last night he did not take his opportunity, even if his team continued to win plaudits with their late comeback.
Fans have seemingly already given up on him, and took to Twitter to blast his performance…
