Speaking on talkSPORT, Gabriel Agbonlahor has been waxing-lyrical about reported Tottenham Hotspur target Danny Ings.
The former Aston Villa man as discussing his picks for the upcoming England squad for Euro 2020, and it seems as though Ings is a player he rates very highly.
However, Agbonlahor believes that Ings is too injury prone to be relied upon, especially with Harry Kane in the same squad.
“I rate him highly mate, I remember earlier on in the season against Villa at Villa Park, honestly the goal he scored, he ran he cut in and he put it in the top corner. I think he’s sick, but the problem is Harry Kane gets so many injuries now with his ankles and now his hamstrings, so can you take two strikers who are both injury prone,” Agbonlahor said.

The fact that Agbonlahor rates Ings isn’t all that surprising. After all, he is an incredibly potent marksman.
However, he raises a very good point about injury problems, and that’s advice that Spurs should take note of if they are going to sign him, especially if they’re looking for a deputy or a replacement for Kane.
Of course, whether or not Ings moves to Tottenham remains to be seen, but the north London outfit have been credited with an interest, and with rumours emerging that Kane wants to leave Tottenham, the London outfit may be looking for a striker in the very near future.
