Rasmus Kristensen has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that fellow new Leeds United signing Brenden Aaronson is one of the toughest players he knows – and his work-rate will be appreciated by his new Leeds teammates.
Aaronson, 21, is one of the club’s six new signings this summer along with Kristensen. Both players joined the club from RB Salzburg, reuniting with manager Jesse Marsch and costing a combined £35million.
Tyler Adams also reunited with Marsch, while the club have also brought in Luis Sinisterra, Marc Roca and Darko Gyabi. Aaronson has started the last two pre-season friendlies against Aston Villa and Brisbane Roar.

He might start against Crystal Palace on Friday, too. Discussing Aaronson, Kristensen raved about the USA wonderkid’s toughness despite his slightly build – and his incessant work rate that the Leeds squad will appreciate.
“He’s got these small touches, he’s able to play in tight spaces, he’s got an incredible touch, incredible technique. Brenden is not the biggest guy but he’s one of the toughest I know.
“He’s not afraid of anything. He’s an offensive, technical player but he’s got a hard-working mentality that’s really appreciated,” Kristensen told the Yorkshire Evening Post when asked about Aaronson.
Kristensen: New Leeds signing Aaronson one of the toughest he knows
While Aaronson might have wanted to have made bit more of a mark in his first two pre-season outings for Leeds, you can tell there is quality there. Glimpses of magic, a gorgeous pass into Patrick Bamford against Aston Villa.
That tenacity is there. That non-stop stamina synonymous with Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds – and now Marsch’s. He will fit like a glove. If Leeds fans give him the time to adapt and bed in to Marsch’s side, he could be a wonderful signing.
