Leeds United have confirmed the arrival of defender Rasmus Kristensen on a five-year deal – and the new signing has given his immediate verdict on Elland Road. He is the club’s second signing of the summer.
Kristensen, 25, joins the club from RedBull Salzburg where he played alongside fellow new arrival Brenden Aaronson. Of course, he also played under current Leeds boss Jesse Marsch for the Austrian champions.
Interest in the Denmark international has been rife, with Kristensen becoming one of Salzburg’s best players. Last season, the right-back produced a huge 18 goal involvements – scoring 10 and creating eight.

Now, Leeds have landed the defender for a fee many are reporting to be £10million. He gave his verdict on Elland Road on the club’s website, after jetting into Yorkshire to rubber stamp a move to the Premier League club.
“I’m blown away by the stadium,” said Kristensen. “Heard so much about it, tales and stories. I’ve been told what the atmosphere is like. I’ve been told it’s better than I can ever imagine, so I can’t wait to experience it on my own.”
Leeds signing Kristensen gives Elland Road verdict
Kristensen, on paper, looks like a brilliant signing. Leeds fans have been watching his performances for Denmark over the past wee – helping his country beat France and then Austria earlier this week.
It sees Marsch continue to build a side he wants at Leeds, bringing in two players he knows incredibly well. It also sees Leeds bring in some much-needed cover on the right, with Stuart Dallas out until the new year.
The question is now whether Luke Ayling will start, and what will happen to Cody Drameh and Jamie Shackleton now Marsch has signed a right-back. Time will tell.
