Dietmar Hamann has been left shocked by the decision to allow Manchester United’s first goal against Manchester City in the Manchester derby at Old Trafford to stand, as you can see from his post on Twitter.

The former Liverpool and Manchester City defensive midfielder believes that Marcus Rashford was offside for Manchester United’s first goal in the Premier League game against Pep Guardiola’s on Saturday afternoon.

Bruno Fernandes scored for the Red Devils in the 78th minute.

The Portugal international attacking midfielder found the back of the net with a wonderful effort.

England international forward Marcus Rashford was in an offside position, but he was not deemed to be interfering with play.

It was initially flagged offside, but VAR overturned it.

The goal stood.

And Hamann was not happy, as you can see from his tweet below.

It was a controversial decision.

The big question is whether Rashford was interfering with play.

While some will say that he was, others will agree with the VAR ruling.

Who said that Manchester derby has lost its edge and spice?
