Speaking on the LUFC Fanzone Podcast, Raphinha’s agent has spoken about the winger’s future at Leeds United amid links away from the club.

The winger has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool lately, but his agent has said that they’ve not even begun to think about moiving away from Leeds, commenting that it’s too early to talk about that.

Raphinha’s agent is none other than Barcelona and Portugal legend, Deco, and he had this to say when asked if Raphinha will be leaving this summer:

“Like I say, we never know, we never know. But it’s not time to think about that, it’s time to play football.

“I believe this team can reach something important this season and I’m sure Raphinha is only thinking about that.

“It’s normal that there is speculation about transfers and everything, but I believe that there is a time for that and this is not the time. This time is for work, the time is to play. In Raphinha’s head we’ll never know, but I think it’s too early to talk about that.

“The first thing is we need to finish this league in the best qualification possible and Raphinha is enjoying it, which is sometimes more important than any movement. Of course, it’s a club decision first and we need to respect the club, but at this moment with Raphinha, from our side, we don’t think about that.”

You’re only ever going to get one answer from an agent really.

Deco didn’t avoid the question, but he didn’t take any of the possibilities off the table.

However, it’s good to hear that Raphinha is enjoying his time at Leeds, and one would imagine that this bodes well for the Yorkshire club’s chances of keeping him beyond this summer.

Whether or not Raphinha does stay at Leeds remains to be seen.
