Leeds United summer signing Raphinha has given his take on head coach Marcelo Bielsa, and how the team played against Liverpool and Manchester City, as quoted on the club’s official website.

As announced on Leeds’s official website on Monday, the Premier League club have signed Raphinha from French side Rennes.

According to BBC Sport, the West Yorkshire outfit have paid Rennes an initial transfer fee of £17 million to secure the services of the winger.

The 23-year-old Brazilian winger has stated that he spoke to other players about Leeds head coach Bielsa.

Raphinha has also stated what he made of the way Leeds played against Liverpool and City in the Premier League in recent weeks.

The Whites lost 4-3 to Liverpool away from home at Anfield in their opening Premier League game of the season, and played out a 1-1 draw with City at Elland Road in the league this past weekend.

Raphinha told Leeds’s official website: “Before I came here I’d spoken to other players about Marcelo Bielsa and they told me he is a really demanding coach, which is something I like.

“I like working with demanding coaches who can really get the best out of me, so it is an absolute pleasure to be here and getting to work with him.

“I watched Leeds play against Liverpool and Manchester City and I was enchanted with the style of play.

“It’s a team which always plays on the front foot, attacking football looking for goals and chasing the victory. It’s a really good team with very high quality and it had a big influence on my decision.”
