Gary Neville has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:10pm, March 18, 2022) that Raphinha could leave Leeds United if the Whites get relegated from the Premier League.

The former Manchester United defender is a big fan of the Leeds winger, and has said that he would not have enjoyed playing against the Brazil international.

Neville said about Raphina, as transcribed by The Manchester Evening News: “He’s a top player, I think if they were to go down then a lot of clubs would be looking at him.

“I know he was left out towards the end of the [Marcelo] Bielsa reign, people saying he was inconsistent, but every time I’ve watched him I think ‘I wouldn’t like to play against him’.”

Could Raphinha leave Leeds this summer?

In our opinion, there is a chance that Raphinha could leave Elland Road in the summer transfer window, but Leeds will not sell him on the cheap.

Even if they get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old is arguably the most talented player at Leeds and is a big player in the team.

The Brazilian winger scores goals, creates chances for his teammates, works hard, and is a force to be reckoned with.

Raphinha earns £63,000 per week as salary (SalarySport), and that is certainly affordable by the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea who have been linked with him.

However, in our view, even if Leeds get relegated from the Premier League, they are going to sell the winger for much more than the £17 million they paid for him.

Raphinha has scored 15 goals in 57 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
