Jonathan Woodgate praised Leeds United duo Raphinha and Daniel James on BT Sport 1 (3:51pm, April 2, 2022) while watching them in action against Southampton at Elland Road this afternoon.
Leeds took on Southampton at Elland Road in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Jack Harrison scored for Jesse Marsch’s side in the 29th minute.
The West Yorkshire club were 1-0 up at half time, and former Leeds star Woodgate noted that attackers Raphinha and James were causing problems for Southampton.
Brazil international winger Raphinha started on the right flank, while Wales international winger James was deployed as a striker.
Woodgate said at half time: “Leeds are on top. Raphinha causing problems all first half, Dan James with his pace, looking to get in behind.”

In our opinion, Raphinha and James are two very important players for Leeds.
Raphinha is one of the best wingers in the Premier League, and the Brazilian’s goals and assists will be important for the Whites in their quest to survive in the Premier League.
James is a winger by trade, but the former Manchester United player is doing his best playing upfront instead of England international striker Patrick Bamford.
