Some Leeds United fans have been reacting to Crysencio Summerville’s performance for the U23s on Wednesday evening.
How did Summerville play?
The Dutch winger was nothing short of incredible for Leeds against Sunderland on Wednesday.
The youngster netted a hat-trick in the opening 35 minutes, and while the Whites failed to hold onto their lead – eventually drawing 3-3, Summerville’s performance was certainly a silver lining.
At this level, performances are often so much more important than results, and Summerville has once again shown that he has the ability to be a first-team star for Leeds in years to come.
Future star
Summerville certainly seems to have all the makings of a future star.
As a winger in a Marcelo Bielsa team, you have to be absolutely rapid, a hard worker and technically brilliant, and Summerville ticks all three of those boxes.
Of course, Leeds fans are inevitably getting a bit ahead of themselves after Summerville’s hat-trick, with some labelling him as the second-coming of Raphinha.
Whether or not Summerville turns out to be as good as Raphinha remains to be seen, but even if he becomes half the player the Brazilian is, Leeds will have a star on their hands.
