Rangers manager Michael Beale has told Friday’s press conference ahead of Monday’s Old Firm clash at Ibrox that Celtic winning 18 of their 19 League games this season is simply “outstanding” – and Rangers lack Celtic’s “rhythm”.
Rangers take on Celtic at Ibrox in a hotly-anticipated Old Firm clash. A win for Celtic is more than likely to secure the Premiership title for Ange Postecoglou and his side at this early stage. It would push Celtic a huge 12 points clear.
But a win for Rangers, or avoiding defeat against Postecoglou’s men, would keep Rangers in the hunt. However, the Gers will know that Celtic are playing as good as they ever have done domestically – winning 18 of their 19 games.
Asked about Celtic’s form, Beale was full of praise for his side’s arch enemies. He applauded the stat that they have only dropped points in one game this season at this halfway stage – saying it is both “outstanding” and “fantastic”.

“We’re at the halfway stage. I don’t know what Celtic’s results are going to be over the next 19 games. Up to now, it has been fantastic,” Beale said on Friday afternoon, in his press conference which was published on Rangers TV.
In any season, in any league but certainly, here in Scotland, any team that has won 18 out of 19 games, that is outstanding form. That is a fact. Ours has not been as strong. We dont have the rhythm Celtic have right now.
Rangers manager Beale: Celtic winning 18 games is outstanding
It is quite astonishing that Celtic have only dropped points in one of their 19 League games this season. But, the Gers have every chance to reset the dial, stop the momentum, pick up a win and put the pressure on Celtic.
A win, at this stage in the Premiership title race, would put Rangers firmly back in with a shout. With two Old Firms left to play this season in the League, Rangers can reduce Celtic’s lead to three points. So, there is always a chance.
But the odds are stacked firmly against Rangers. Celtic do not look as if they are going to stop picking up points and Rangers have got to win every game from now, until the end of the season, to really stand any chance of a title win.
