Rangers teenager says he wants to play a part at Ibrox this season.
Talented Rangers youngster Zak Rudden has signed a new deal at the club extending his contract by a further year.
Rudden told Rangers’ official website that he plans to influence the club’s transfer policy.
Rudden says he wants to show manager Steven Gerrard that Rangers do not need to sign another striker.
He wants to prove a point in pre-season over the coming weeks.
Rudden said: “I’m going to try and make the Gaffers mind up that he doesn’t need another striker and that I am the guy that can make his squad.
“They said I done well on loan but that there were bits of my game missing and that I need to improve on so that’s what I have been trying to do when I have been away on my break just to try and improve but they were delighted that I made a name for myself scoring goals, I just need to make sure that I am an all-round player.”
Rudden netted 12 goals for Falkirk and is full of confidence.
The 19-year-old scored in pre-season last year for Rangers and should be returning to the Gers side as an even better player.
Rangers’ current strike options are Alfredo Morelos, Jermain Defoe, Kyle Lafferty and fellow youngster Ryan Hardie.
