Glasgow Rangers defender Ross McCrorie wants to earn a Scotland senior cap like Celtic youngster Jack Hendry.

Hendry, who joined Celtic from Scottish Premiership rivals Dundee in the January transfer window for a fee reported by The Daily Record to be worth £1.5 million, made his debut for Scotland against Hungary in a friendly international last month.
The 22-year-old defender is playing well for the Hoops at the moment and has established himself as an important player for the Glasgow giants.
Rangers defender McCrorie, 20, has suggested that he wants to follow in the footsteps of Celtic youngster Hendry as well as 21-year-old Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna, and earn a senior cap for Scotland.

McCrorie told The Scottish Sun: “I’ve definitely taken a bit of inspiration from Jack and Scott’s Scotland call-ups.These boys are a couple of years older than me, but that is the aim for me eventually.”

Promising talent
McCrorie is a very talented and promising young defender, but the 20-year-old’s season has been affected by a foot injury that kept him on the sidelines for three months, according to The Scottish Sun.
Once the Scotland Under-21 international gets back into his rhythm, he will start to deliver the kind of performances that Rangers fans know he is capable of.
Rangers and Celtic will face each other in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup next weekend.
