Rangers midfielder Jordan Thompson was impressed with the West Bromwich Albion defender’s performance for Northern Ireland against Ukraine at Euro 2016.

Rangers midfielder Jordan Thompson has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his admiration of West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans.
Thompson, who is just 19 years of age, was impressed with the West Brom defender’s performance for Northern Ireland against Ukraine on Thursday.
The 28-year-old former Manchester United man started the Euro 2016 Group C game at Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon and played for the entire 90 minutes.

Northern Ireland won the match 2-0, thanks to goals from Gareth McAuley and Niall McGinn.
Thompson, a Northern Ireland Under-19 international midfielder, was following the game, and he was impressed with Evans.

Against Ukraine on Thursday, Evans had a pass accuracy of 64%, created two chances, put in two crosses, attempted one dribble, won 25% of his tackles and 50% of his headers, and made 10 clearances and three blocks.
Over the course of the 90 minutes in Lyon, Northern Ireland had 31% of the possession, took 13 shots of which seven were on target, and earned three corners.
Northern Ireland will take on Germany in their final Group C game next Tuesday.
