Rangers are reportedly looking to bring Dominic Solanke to Ibrox.

It’s hardly a secret that Rangers are in the market for a new striker in January, as whilst Alfredo Morelos is thriving in front of goal, he needs a little more help.
Kyle Lafferty hasn’t looked in top form of late whilst Umar Sadiq has been a flop since his summer loan move from Roma; he may not even see the season out with the Gers.
Steven Gerrard will now look for another hitman in January, and he has again been linked with returning to former club Liverpool in search of another loan deal after landing Ryan Kent and Ovie Ejaria over the summer.
TalkSPORT seemingly can’t make their mind up though; on Friday, they claimed Dominic Solanke was all set for a move to Rangers in January, before claiming on Sunday that there was no chance of a deal going through.
The 21-year-old has yet to make a single first-team appearance for Liverpool this season, and rather than waste him on the bench, Rangers could offer him some playing time between January and the end of the campaign.

If Gerrard can pull a deal off – and it may be a big if – then some Premier League clubs will be hugely envious of the Gers. The Sun claim that Crystal Palace and West Ham United both want Solanke on loan, whilst The Chronicle believe Newcastle have made contact about a January move.
Beating those Premier League teams would be hugely exciting for Rangers, and Gerrard’s links to the Reds could just see the Gers leave English teams frustrated, with Rangers seemingly the favourites if Liverpool do end up loaning the striker out in January after all.
