Rangers striker Jordan Gibson continues to show promise in the club’s academy, hitting a hat-trick yesterday.
Gibson fired three goals in a 6-1 win for the under-20s against Stirling University, with Rangers bouncing back after going 1-0 down early on.
The prospect was delighted with his impact, commenting on Twitter that it was especially noteworthy as it was his first 90 minutes of the season.
Gibson signed for Rangers from non-league English side Alvechurch FC after being picked up by Mark Warburton’s scouting network.
He has been regularly impressive for the under-20s, and his start to the season suggests this could be a very productive campaign for him.
If he continues to make waves in the academy then it may not be too long before he comes into consideration for first team action.
Among the starters in the fixture yesterday was talented Ursene Mouanda, who signed on transfer deadline day.
