The Rangers youngster made his debut for Steven Gerrard’s side at Ibrox on Sunday.

The Rangers winger Serge Atakayi remains in a protective boot five days after being injured in the Gers’ 7-1 win against Motherwell at Ibrox.
Atakayi was making his senior debut for Rangers, but his run out was ended prematurely following a robust challenge from a visiting player.
The following day, the Finland youth international posted a photo of himself wearing the somewhat unconventional piece of footwear on Instagram, and shared his hope to be ‘back soon and stronger’.

But Atakayi, it seems, has yet to ditch his new wheels, adding the following update on Friday afternoon, in which he appeared to be travelling to London on crutches – possibly for treatment.

After Motherwell, the Rangers manager Steven Gerrard suggested his side could be without Atakayi for ‘a short time’. However, it is unlikely, as things stand, that the 2016 Rangers recruit will be fit for next Saturday’s visit of Livingston.
The 19-year-old has had to bide his time since arriving at Ibrox, but took advantage of Daniel Candeias’s suspension and injuries to Ryan Kent and Jamie Murphy to make the bench against Stephen Robinson’s side.
