Glasgow Rangers winger Jamie Murphy has missed several months for the Ibrox side due to a knee injury.

Jamie Murphy has told Rangers’s official YouTube channel that he feels like he is almost there in his recovery from a serious knee injury, and suggested how long it will be until he is back in full training with the Gers.
Steven Gerrard has not been able to call upon Murphy since August when he sustained the injury away at Kilmarnock. He has been missed having been superb during his loan spell at Ibrox during the second-half of last season.
And with Rangers heading into the business end of the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup campaigns, Gerrard could certainly do with having the 29-year-old back before the season concludes.
Murphy has provided an encouraging update on his fitness. And perhaps it may just open the door for the former Brighton and Hove Albion man to make his return before the summer.

“I’m almost there. In my head, I’m almost there. I still think I’m 6-8 weeks away from training. But I’m doing a lot more. A lot more running, a lot more twist and turning,” he told Rangers’s YouTube channel.
Gerrard will obviously do nothing that jeopardises Murphy’s return. But it must surely be tempting for the Rangers boss to use him in the coming months slightly ahead of schedule if the Gers do have a genuine chance of winning silverware.
Murphy has the potential to be a game-changer if he can rediscover the best form that he showed before his injury. And his return could make a huge difference if he is able to come back with a few weeks of the campaign remaining.
