Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers winger Glenn Middleton believes that big things are on the horizon for Gers fan Charlie Gilmour following his release from Arsenal.

Rangers winger Glenn Middleton has sent a message to Gers fan Charlie Gilmour on Twitter following his release from Arsenal.

Middleton, who joined Rangers in January 2018 after leaving Norwich City in England, has said to Gilmour that big things are coming up for him.

As announced on Arsenal Academy’s official Twitter page, the 20-year-old defensive midfielder has been released by the Gunners.

According to The Scottish Sun, Gilmour is a Ranger fan, with his grandfather, Hugh Gilmour, telling the publication back in March 2018, that he would like the youngster to play for Rangers one day.

Promising talent

Middleton is a very talented and promising young player, and the Rangers teenager does have a bright future ahead of him.

According to WhoScored, the Scotland Under-21 international made four starts and 11 substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers this season, scoring two goals in the process.

The winger also made six appearances in the Europa League and played Scottish League Cup matches for Steven Gerrard’s side this campaign, according to WhoScored.
