Jordan Jones will join Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers in the summer of 2019.
Glenn Middleton of Rangers
Jones has signed a pre-contract agreement with Rangers and will link up with the Ibrox club in the summer of 2019.
Middleton is playing well for Rangers at the moment and has impressed many with his performances on the wing.
The 19-year-old Scotland Under-21 international winger has suggested that he is ready to fight with Jones for a place in the Rangers team next season.
Middleton told The Scottish Sun regarding competition from Jones next season: “The gaffer has brought in players for this window and for next season. I just have to make sure whenever I get a chance, I take it.
“We all want to win the league and trophies, so anyone of quality who can help us do that will be welcomed.
“We are all competing for a start in this team, but that’s what happens at a big club like Rangers.”

Promising talent
Middleton is only a teenager, and it is clear that the Rangers winger can still improve and develop.
Jones is 24 years of age and is one of the best wingers in the Scottish Premiership, and the Kilmarnock star will certainly be a tough competitor for Middleton.
It is encouraging that the 19-year-old is ready to take on the competition that he will face next season, and it can only be positive for Rangers and the Ibrox faithful.
