Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers, currently managed by Graeme Murty, will reportedly approach Derek McInnes for the Gers role this weekend.

It has been reported that the Gers will officially make a move for McInnes after the Scottish Premiership match between Aberdeen and Rangers at the Pittodrie Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
It seems that Rangers are finally going to do something concrete and productive about their managerial search.
The Ibrox club have been on the hunt for a new permanent manager since October when Pedro Caixinha was dismissed.

McInnes is a very good manager who has done wonders at Aberdeen, and the former Rangers midfielder would be great for the Ibrox outfit.
According to a report in The Daily Record, Rangers can secure the services of McInnes and his assistant Tony Docherty for a compensation fee of £800,000.

Aberdeen are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 30 points from 15 matches, just three points above third-placed Rangers.
Both Aberdeen and Rangers are aiming to finish second, as Celtic look set to win the league title yet again this season.
