Rangers and Leeds reportedly both want Lewis Macleod.

Rangers plan on signing more players in January and Steven Gerrard is keen on landing a midfielder, report The Express.
Last week Rangers were linked with bringing back former Ger, Lewis Macleod.
Macleod rejected a contract extension last week and was dropped from the Bees’ matchday squad at the weekend.
Rangers’ desire to sign a midfielder puts them firmly in the mix to add Macleod.

Whether they choose Macleod as a priority remains to be seen, but their interest and desire to sign a player in the position puts pressure on Leeds United to move themselves or risk missing out.
Leeds are looking to win promotion to the Premier League and it makes sense for them to push for Macleod now in any case, rather than wait until the summer, just to save money on a transfer fee.
Rangers would fancy their chances of tempting Macleod back to Ibrox. Leeds will know this, and have to pull out all the stops if they really want the midfielder.
