Rangers are eyeing up a summer move for Nimes winger Zinedine Ferhat, according to Foot Mercato.
It’s claimed that Rangers are battling Saint-Etienne and Sassuolo in the race to sign Ferhat at the end of the season.
It looks like Nimes will lose Ferhat this summer, especially with an unnamed ‘top club’ in Ligue 1 also believed to be in the race.
Who is Zinedine Ferhat?
Ferhat, 28, starred in his native Algeria with USM Alger before heading to France in 2016 with Le Havre.
After 13 goals and 38 assists there, Ferhat earned a move to Nimes in Ligue 1, and has continued to shine with six goals and 10 assists this season.
Capable of playing on the left or right flank, Ferhat has 11 caps for Algeria but looks set for relegation with Nimes this term.

Does Ferhat make sense for Rangers?
The relegation issue may leave Rangers feeling that they can grab a bargain in Ferhat, especially as he has just one year left on his deal.
Do Rangers need another winger though? They already have Ryan Kent, Ianis Hagi, Scott Wright and Kemar Roofe who can play there, as well as having young talents like Kai Kennedy and Josh McPake.
Adding a 28-year-old winger doesn’t really make all that much sense for Rangers at the moment, even if Ferhat has shown great quality this season.
