Rangers are still weighing up a move for Norwich City ace Todd Cantwell this month with conversations inside Ibrox ongoing.
That’s according to talkSPORT’s Jim White, who claims that people inside Rangers are talking about making a move for Cantwell.
White adds that there is a belief that Cantwell is a great fit for Michael Beale’s style of play at Rangers, which suggests the Gers will end up making a bid.
The rumours of Rangers making a move for Cantwell really started over the weekend with The Scottish Sun reporting their interest.
Rangers boss Beale then admitted that he thinks Cantwell is a ‘fantastic player’, hardly playing down the idea of a move to Ibrox.
Norwich left Cantwell out of their squad to face Blackburn Rovers on Sunday and seem ready to let him go with his contract expiring this summer.
Sky Sports claim that an unnamed Championship club have had a bid rejected for Cantwell, so the Gers must move quickly.

Rangers move could revitalise Todd Cantwell
Cantwell, 24, looked like becoming a star after shining in the 2019-20 campaign with Norwich.
A host of Premier League clubs wanted to sign him after Norwich’s relegation; Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur were keen whilst Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool all wanted him for £30million according to The Athletic.
Cantwell stayed put but has seen his career slip into a surprise decline.
The playmaker just hasn’t been able to get going of late and hasn’t managed a goal or assist in 18 league games this season.
It is now becoming clear that Cantwell needs to leave Norwich in order to try and get his career back on track.
Beale appears to be a big fan and if Rangers can agree a reasonable fee, this deal would make plenty of sense with the Gers needing more guile in the final third.
Rangers still appear to be talking over a bid but we can certainly see this move materialising.
