Rangers teen Kai Kennedy is set to head out on loan again this season, according to a report, and a deal could be done before the League Cup group stages get underway next month.

Kennedy impressed out on loan last season with Raith and Inverness Caley Thistle, leading some fans to clamour for him to be given a chance at Ibrox – but Glasgow Live report he is expected to go on loan instead.
The Scotland youth international made 29 appearances across his two loan stints last season, helping Raith to the Premiership playoffs.
While fans were hopeful he would get the chance to impress as part of Steven Gerrard’s squad next season, the fact he’s only played at Championship level suggested he was never likely to be involved much next season anyway.
Getting the right club sorted for the 19-year-old is crucial though and ensuring he plays at as high a level as possible will be paramount for Ibrox sporing director Ross Wilson.

After signing an extension to his Rangers contract before he joined Raith on loan at the turn of the year, Kennedy’s Ibrox future is secure for the time-being but he’ll be hoping to make a big impression when he heads on loan again
