HITC Sport understands that Burnley, Hull City, Bristol City and Bolton Wanderers are all keen on a man who doesn’t figure in Steve McClaren’s plans.
Haris Vuckic is set to depart Newcastle United this summer, HITC Sport understands from sources close to a potential deal.
The highly-rated Slovenian returned to St James’ Park this summer after finishing last season on loan at Rangers, and he proved a popular figure north of the border.
However, upon his return, Vuckic has been told by Newcastle boss Steve McClaren that he is not in his long-term plans and that he can search for a new club, and he has been left out of the Magpies’ squad for their tour of America.
Vuckic claimed nine goals during his short stay at Ibrox and became a firm fans’ favourite, and Rangers are now one of the clubs keen on securing his signature.
However, it seems that the 22-year-old is destined to remain in England, with a host of clubs chasing his signature.
Championship sides Burnley, Hull City, Bristol City and Bolton Wanderers are among the clubs understood to be ready to make a move for the attacking midfielder.
