Glasgow Rangers youngster Stephen Kelly was on target for Scotland’s under-19 side at the weekend.

Kelly scored in a 2-0 victory over Azerbaijan.

The 18-year-old is enjoying a bright season at Rangers so far and made an impression on Steven Gerrard.

Kelly has made three first team appearances for the Gers this season.

Bournemouth defender Brennan Camp scored the other goal in Scotland’s victory, with Kelly providing an assist.

Kelly sent a message on Twitter after the victory.

Kelly is a regular for Rangers’ under-20 side and is hoping to start making the breakthrough into Gerrard’s first team.

Competition for places in midfield at Rangers is intense and it is a long shot for him to get into the team as a regular this season.

Experiences like this will be valuable for him as he looks to kick on.
