Rangers have a whole host of exciting talents coming through the ranks, and Steven Gerrard will be looking to develop them over the coming years.
The Gers already have the likes of Ross McCrorie and Glenn Middleton around Gerrard’s first team, and more could come in the near future.
Dapo Mebude, Andrew Dallas and Serge Atakayi are also exciting, and after impressing at the ALKASS International Cup earlier this month, the club’s Under-18’s are shining.
New signing Nathan Young-Coombes stole the headlines, but Kai Kennedy and Daniel Finlayson are also highly rated, with Chris McKee another player who impressed at that tournament.
McKee, 16, joined Rangers from Linfield last summer, and scored a hat-trick against Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel in that ALKASS International Cup.
This week, McKee has been in action for Northern Ireland’s Under-17’s, and scored against Greece in a 3-1 defeat for his country.
Rangers will be encouraged not only by McKee’s exploits for the club but also for his country, with fans no doubt hoping he can be the latest attacking talent to show real promise.
Mebude, Dallas, Young-Coombes and now McKee all look set for bright careers, and could be the future of the Rangers attack if they can develop as intended, with McKee’s international goal another step in the right direction.
