Ibrox left-back Myles Beerman has failed to feature for Rangers’ first team this season.
Rangers teenager Myles Beerman has told RangersTV, as quoted by the Daily Record, that dropping out of the first team has been “tough to take” but surely his first-team plea will fall on deaf ears?
The 18-year-old is set to enter the final six months of his contract in January, as his current deal expires on June 30 and will be desperate to prove that he has what it takes to earn an extension to his contract at Ibrox.
However, the form of Declan John has seen club captain Lee Wallace drop out of the first team, meaning two-time Malta international Beerman has little chance of gaining first-team football.

Former Manchester City trainee Beerman spoke out over his frustration at Ibrox, after his spell in the first team under Pedro Caixinha last seasons saw him clock up eight first-team appearances.
“The coaches know what they’re doing for my development, so I need to take everything in a positive way and work hard as much as I can,” Beerman said. “Obviously it is tough because you always want to push on in your career.
“Once you get that taste of first team football and play in front of 50,000 [people] every week, you want to keep on doing that. But you have to take it in your stride and say, ‘listen, it’s a part of your development’ and stay as positive as you can.”
Despite making his desperation for first-team football known in the public domain, Beerman is likely to be overlooked by manager Graeme Murty which could see his contract wind down and his future lie somewhere else.
A loan move for Beerman looks likely to be the only way in which he can prove to Murty, or whoever takes over at Rangers on a permanent basis, that he is deserving of a new deal – if he wants to remain at Rangers beyond June 2018.
