Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has included Allan McGregor in the Gers’ starting lineup for their pre-season friendly match against Bury at Ibrox this evening.

McGregor joined Rangers in the summer transfer window as a free agent following his departure from Hull City in the Championship in England at the end of last season.

The Scottish goalkeeper started his professional club football career at Rangers, and tonight will be his ‘second’ debut for the Gers.

Rangers manager Gerrard, who was appointed in the role in the summer, has handed debuts to Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic, with the two players to be the two central defenders.

Jon Flanagan, who arrived at Rangers in the summer after leaving Liverpool at the end of last season, starts as well, as do another summer recruit Scott Arfield.

Josh Windass and Alfredo Morelos also find themselves start for Rangers in what is Liverpool legend Gerrard’s first game in charge of the midfielder.

Both Windass and Morelos have been linked with moves away from the Gers in the summer transfer window.

While The Scottish Sun has credited Cardiff City with interest in the midfielder, Turkish Football has claimed that Fenerbahce’s recent offer for the striker has been turned down.
