Rangers captain James Tavernier has opened up on working with comical Ibrox striker Alfredo Morelos and admits he wishes he was paid extra to babysit the Colombian international.

Tavernier shared images on social media of Morelos kicking him and running away as they celebrated beating Livingston on Wednesday night, with both players joking about it and the skipper branding El Bufalo “a riot.”

The skipper and Morelos seem to have a fantastic relationship and Tavernier rubbished suggestions that the Colombian can’t speak English, insisting he just chooses not to.

“He’s just a big kid, honestly,” Tavernier said on Twitch.

” Just like a big kid. I’m happy them pictures were taken cause then I can prove to people what he’s like every single day.

“He’s some guy. I can’t hate the fella. We’ve been together a few years. I wish I was paid extra to babysit him. That’s another word, riot. He’s a pest and a riot.

“But I love the guy.

“He can speak English, I know he can speak English. It’s whether he chooses to, and that guy doesn’t choose to.
