A Rangers target’s club have made a sudden U-turn regarding his situation.
Rangers have been linked with a move for the Amiens midfielder, Bongani Zungu, throughout the summer transfer window.
And Kick Off reported earlier this month that Zungu remains in contact with the Gers boss Steven Gerrard about a potential switch to Ibrox, despite the French side’s £3.7 million asking price having prevented it from going ahead.
The South Africa international was banished from first-team training by his Amiens manager, Luka Elsner, earlier this summer amid interest from Rangers.
“I have decided to restrict the squad I will work with,” said Elsner, as quoted by The Scottish Sun.
“So only those whose head is committed to the Amiens project this season will play for me.
“We need only players who are 100 per cent committed to the club and the players who are trying to leave won’t be involved.”

Though there were returns for two other Amiens exiles, Aurelien Chedjou [who has since joined Adana Demirspor] and Moussa Konate, Zungu had remained on the sidelines in previous weeks.
But the 27-year-old was finally reintroduced, as a second-half substitute in Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Pau.
And he posted the following message on Twitter afterwards.
What Zungu’s return might mean for Rangers’ chances remains to be seen.
But at least the soon-to-be out-of-contract player won’t be completely out of practice if he does arrive at Ibrox before next week’s transfer deadline.
Rangers fans – could Zungu still arrive in Glasgow?
