Glasgow Rangers have been linked with making a move for Port Vale goalkeeper Jak Alnwick.
Port Vale caretaker boss Michael Brown has seemingly hinted that Jak Alnwick may have now played his final game for the club amid speculation linking him with a move to Rangers, The Scottish Sun reports.
According to The Scottish Sun, Alnwick has caught Mark Warburton’s eye and the Scottish Premiership side are plotting a £250,000 bid for the stopper.

And speaking after the Valiants’ 3-2 loss to Scunthorpe United in a League One clash on Saturday, Brown suggested that the former Newcastle United man may be on the move imminently.
“It possibly could be his last game for us, there is a good chance of that,” he said, as reported by The Scottish Sun.
“But he is still with us and we will see what the coming days do.”
While it is not clear whether Brown is expecting Rangers to be the ones to bag Alnwick’s signature, it must be noted that The Scottish Sun do not link anyone other than the Gers with the youngster.

The Scottish Sun adds that the fee being discussed will trigger a release clause in the stopper’s contract, and the only stumbling block appears to involve whether the whole fee will be paid up front or whether it can be paid in instalments.
But given the Light Blues’ potential need for another goalkeeper – The Scottish Sun reports that Matt Gilks could be on his way out before the deadline – it would perhaps be a surprise if the details do not end up ironed out as a player of Alnwick’s potential could be an excellent addition to Warburton’s squad.
