Young Rangers forward is excited learning under Steven Gerrard.
Rangers youngster Zak Rudden says he is excited for this coming season and hopes to make his debut this season for the first team.
Rudden, 18, is currently on Rangers’ first team training camp in Spain, and it is an invitation he says he feels privileged to receive.
Speaking to Rangers’ official website, Rudden said he is not taking his status on tour for granted and wants to kick on and make his first team debut this coming season.
The Rangers under-20 forward said: “I want to be around the first team and I’d like to make my debut this year as that is my big aim.
“I know that I have to just wait and see if the gaffer likes me. He’s spoken to me a couple of times about little things here and there.”
Rudden can fast track his chances of playing by impressing on this pre-season camp.
He has been given a great opportunity to get noticed, especially with everybody starting from scratch under Steven Gerrard and his staff.
The Scotland underr-20 international was named by the Daily Record as one of the country’s best prospects back in 2016 and he is being given a platform now to start progressing his career at club level.
Teammate Ryan Hardie has gone on loan to Livingston and this could help Rudden get nearer the first time, while he tels Rangers’ club website he is also open to a loan move if that is what Gerrard decides.
