Rangers need to plan their central defence for 2019/20.

Glasgow Rangers have been spoiled for choice this season at centre-back. So much so that it has been a point of controversy.
Fans have not always agreed with Steven Gerrard’s selections.
This summer his choice of four options will be cut to two.
Joe Worrall will return to Nottingham Forest when his loan expires. Gareth McAuley’s one year contract will expire.
There is little point in Rangers re-signing the Northern Irishman, who has only played 10 times so far and is now injured again.
Worrall’s future is controlled by Forest and they are not thought to be keen to sell.

This leaves Rangers with work to do, and two centre-backs to sign to improve their options.
Connor Goldson appears to be a shoe-in to retain his role next season as a regular.
Nikola Katic has it all to do.
He began well alongside Goldson, before losing his place to Worrall, controversially.
He will need to compete with whoever Rangers’ sign, in order to become a regular at last.
Either way, it looks like centre-back will be a big priority for Rangers this summer.
