Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers signed Philippe Senderos on a free on transfer deadline day.

Newly-signed Rangers defender Philippe Senderos has told The Glasgow Evening Times that he wants to remain at Ibrox beyond next summer.
Senderos joined Rangers on a one-year contract on transfer deadline day, as announced on the club’s official website.
The Switzerland international centre-back moved to the Gers on a free transfer following his release from Grasshoppers.
The 31-year-old former Arsenal and Aston Villa defender has revealed that he plans to remain at Ibrox beyond next summer.

“I have only signed for a year at Rangers but I hope I can extend that,” Senderos told The Glasgow Evening Times. “I feel I can play for another five or six years. I’m very hungry. I love playing football.
“I has been my passion since I was a kid. I love the day-to-day thing of working every day in training.
“As long as I have this hunger and desire I will continue playing for as long as my body will allow me.”

Rangers have made a slow start to the 2016-17 Scottish Premiership campaign after gaining promotion from the Scottish Championship at the end of last season.
Mark Warburton’s side, though, are second in the league table with eight points from four matches.
The Gers are a point behind Old Firm rivals Celtic, who are currently the league leaders and also have a game in hand.
Rangers will take on Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership after the international break.
The Bhoys will head into the match as favourites, but the Gers do have the quality to pick up at least a point from the game in Glasgow.
