Rangers defender Clint Hill has played down talk of a move away from Ibrox.
Rangers defender Clint Hill has told Sporting Life that he would be very surprised if Queens Park Rangers wanted to re-sign during the January transfer window.
Hill, 38, was released by QPR at the end of last season, and chose to leave English football as he headed up to Scotland with Rangers, penning a one-year deal at Ibrox.
The defender was snapped up to bring a veteran presence to the Rangers defender has so far played an important role under Mark Warburton, making 16 appearances in all competitions.

It’s unclear whether Rangers will move to give Hill a new contract to take him to the age of 39, but reports earlier this month suggested that QPR actually wanted to re-sign Hill.
Get West London claimed that QPR – with new manager Ian Holloway searching for some leadership – were looking to bring Hill back to Loftus Road just months after letting him go, with a player/coaching role being lined up.

Hill then played for Rangers on Saturday, helping them keep a clean sheet in the 1-0 home win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle – and has commented on the rumours.
Hill told Sporting Life that he isn’t sure where the story has come from, as hasn’t been contacted about a swift return to QPR, and would be surprised if they even wanted him back having released him earlier this year.
The defender added that he isn’t thinking about his contract situation right now, as he is taking each game as it comes, which is wise considering his advancing years.
“I don’t know where that story has come from,” said Hill. “Maybe they needed to fill some space in the paper and they have put that in. I’ve not heard anything and I’d be very surprised if it did come off because four or five months ago I was released by QPR.”
“I’ve not had any thoughts about next season. I’m too old to even think about that. I try to take each game as it comes. I don’t know what the situation is next season. I’ll see how the body is and how it repairs and then judge from there,” he added.
