The Ibrox striker scored the winning goal as Rangers beat Morton 2-1.

Rangers threw their name in the hat for the next round of the Scottish Cup at the weekend by picking up a 2-1 win against Morton.

It was of course a fixture that came on the back of a tumultuous week at Ibrox. Rangers lost their manager Mark Warburton on the eve of the game in confusing circumstances.

It was a player who has had an interesting relationship with Warburton of late who scored the winning goal.

Martyn Waghorn was the goalscoring hero at Rangers last season but has not had such an impact this term and was even linked with an exit at one point.

But his 11th goal of the season, his first since December, gave Rangers the win.

The English striker was clearly happy with finding the back of the net once again, sending this tweet:

He was not alone in his joy at the win. Winter arrival Emerson Hyndman also took to Twitter after the game, as Rangers look to move on from there recent troubles:

Rangers fans will hope that Waghorn can continue finding the net, and Rangers stay on the winning track.
