The Rangers striker did not mention anything from his time at Ibrox under Mark Warburton.
Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn has spoken about his proudest moments in the game. The Ibrox hero was speaking to HealthSpan, as he joined the sports supplement company as an official partner, when he mentioned his favourite moments in football – but there was unfortunately no mention of his promotion with Rangers last season.
Instead he pointed to his professional debut with Sunderland and with the England under-21s as the highlights of his career so far:
“Making my full debut for Sunderland against Man Utd was brilliant but making my debut for the under 21’s and scoring was amazing, nothing better than representing your country.”

The 26-year-old was one of the heroes of Rangers’ promotion campaign last term. He scored 28 goals in 36 games as the Gers won promotion back to the Scottish Premiership.
But he suffered an injury at the end of the season and he began to struggle for form this term.

That lead to reports he could be on his way out of Mark Warburton’s side in January but that no longer appears to be the case. Waghorn has scored 10 goals in 17 games for Rangers this season and is now back to something like his best form.
Hopefully he can create some more memories at Ibrox that go to the top of the list.
