Glasgow Rangers striker Kenny Miller has warned his Ibrox club teammates not to get complacent after back to back wins in the Scottish Premiership.
Glasgow Rangers have registered back to back wins against Aberdeen that has put them in second position in the Scottish Premier League behind Celtic.
Rangers players have been criticized heavily by pundits and fans after a stuttering start to the season. However, they have bounced back strongly in the league now, and they should carry forward the momentum.
According to Rangers striker Kenny Miller, the Gers have not done anything yet to prove that they are title contending material.
The 37-year-old says that they have just won two games, and it is not enough to claim that they have turned a corner.
Miller believes that moving into the second spot is an encouraging sign of better times ahead, but has warned the players to keep themselves grounded.
He warns his teammates to not get carried away with those two results, rather everyone should focus on putting a longer run.
And most importantly, it is important not to get complacent and take foot off the gas. Miller has urged his side to maintain the same level of performance going forward.
“We are not going to get too carried away. It is two wins. I have said before if you are going to have any success over the course of the season you need to put lot longer runs together than two or three days,” said Miller, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“It is important we don’t get complacent, don’t take our foot off the gas and go into our next game Ross County and put in the same level of performance.
“We have talked a lot over the last couple of years about styles; the way we want to play. In the last two games we have shown quality, there is no doubt about that – but the battling side has been extra pleasing.”
