Jermain Defoe didn’t make his debut for Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers this week.

Rangers fans will have to wait a little longer to see Jermain Defoe make his debut.
The January signing was set to make his debut in Friday night’s Scottish Cup clash away to Cowdenbeath, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard revealed [The Scotsman].
But the fourth-round meeting was postponed after the Premiership club raised concerns over the playing surface at the Central Park Stadium.
Defoe joining the Gers is perhaps the biggest deal that will happen in Scotland this month, and both sets of fans were looking forward to his bow under Gerrard.
And the 36-year-old has offered a brilliant three-word reaction on Twitter following the news of the abandonment.
Defoe’s debut could now come away to Kilmarnock on Wednesday.
Rangers are level on points with Celtic at the top of the Premiership and it’s expected that the English striker’s presence in Glasgow could help Gerrard’s side to a shock title.
Well, it wouldn’t be a huge shock now, but it would have been before the season started and time will tell how much influence Defoe can have.
