Rangers striker Jason Cummings has made a stunning start to his Ibrox career, just days after joining from Nottingham Forest in the Championship in England.

The former Hibernian striker, who switched to the Gers on loan from Forest in the January transfer window, scored in Graeme Murty’s side’s 2-1 victory over Ross County away from home in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.

The 22-year-old Scotland international striker found the net in the 82nd minute, just three minutes after coming on as a substitute.

The goal proved to be the winner for Rangers, who have maintained their good run of form in the league and are very much in the driving seat for the runners-up spot.

Rangers striker Cummings has spoken highly of the fans, and seems to have been impressed with how the Ibrox faithful have welcomed so.

Cummings told The Glasgow Evening Times: “It was fantastic, I’m buzzing. The fans were different class and I was saying to the boys that if I got on I would have to score and go sliding into the fans. I got my chance and I took it, so I’m buzzing.

“To be fair, even at Ibrox I got a great reception, and they were signing my name today every time I was down there. They’ve been different class with me, so that goal was for them.”
