Eduardo Herrera’s future at Rangers is in doubt under Steven Gerrard.

Rangers striker Eduardo Herrera has posted a defiant message on Instagram as he looks to get his career back on track at Ibrox after a hugely disappointing first campaign in Scotland.
The 29-year-old is way down the pecking order at Ibrox despite being brought to Rangers by Pedro Caixinha last summer with the intention of becoming the club’s first-choice striker.

A big-money signing from Pumas, the nine-time Mexico international has fallen behind Alfredo Morelos and even Jason Cummings, who has since returned to parent club Nottingham Forest after his loan spell at Ibrox.
Herrera posted a somewhat inspiring message on Instagram to fans, stating that he is not prepared to give up despite failing to make a single Scottish Premiership appearance in 2018.

In total, Herrera made 24 league and cup appearances for the Gers, scoring only two goals in all competitions – one of which came in the Scottish Premiership against Ross County, as well as a Scottish League Cup goal against Partick.
He has two years remaining on a three-year deal contract at Rangers, but The Daily Record claim that the target man is one of a number of players expected to leave the club after being made surplus to requirements at Ibrox.
