Alfredo Morelos is playing well for Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers.
Alfredo Morelos of Rangers
According to The Daily Record, Nice wanted to sign Morelos from Rangers in the January transfer window.
The report has also claimed that there was interest from clubs in England for the 22-year-old forward in January.
Morelos seems flattered by interest in him, and the Colombia international – who is hugely popular among the Ibrox faithful – has also suggested that he expects clubs to want him in the summer of 2019.
The Daily Record quotes Morelos as saying: “The topic about the offers is quite interesting, knowing that nothing happened now during the winter break there and that they wanted to keep me here at Rangers, and that’s what happened. Now there are some good expectations about the summer.
“Like I said I know there’s a lot of teams interested but let’s see what happens at the end of the season.
“I don’t have anything specific, which team(s) made an offer out of all the clubs interested, but I just know that there’s a lot of clubs interested.”

Promising talent
Morelos is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership and has been playing well for Rangers this season.
The 22-year-old striker has made 22 starts and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season, scoring 15 goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
The youngster has scored four goals in the Scottish League Cup and four times in the Scottish Cup for the Gers so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.
