Rangers need a couple of new defenders at Ibrox this summer.

Rangers made have beaten Celtic 2-0 on Sunday, but Steven Gerrard knows that he still needs to bring in new signings this summer.
Rangers are closing the gap to the Bhoys though, and Sunday’s win will be another psychological boost as the Gers attempt to beat their bitter rivals to the title next season.
That win now means Rangers have kept three clean sheets in a row, and five in the last six games, conceding just one goal in that six-game winning run.
Still though, Rangers need defenders. Gareth McAuley and Joe Worrall are both set to leave, meaning Gerrard only has Nikola Katic and Connor Goldson at his disposal, and two are needed to replace the outgoing players.
The Scottish Sun now report that Oldham defender George Edmundson is a top target for Rangers, who have teed up a £450,000 deal to lure the 21-year-old to Ibrox.
Rangers have taken a big step to sign Edmundson by giving him a tour of their training facilities last week, but Rangers still need a specific centre back being brought in.

A defender around the age of 30 would be a smart deal to go alongside the bargain capture of Edmundson, and having missed out on Mexer, Norwich City’s Timm Klose would still be a wise target.
The Swiss international, 31, is out of contract at Norwich, and with Mexer choosing Bordeaux instead, Klose fits the bill, with Gerrard keen according to a report from The Sun on Sunday (28/4; page 59).
Eastern Daily Press claim that Klose is nearing a new deal with Norwich, but having lost out on Mexer, it’s time for Rangers to make a last-gasp bid to bring Klose to Scotland and act as a veteran presence whilst Edmundson develops.
