Celtic are set to beat Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers to another Scottish Premiership crown – their eighth in a row.

Steven Gerrard has told The Record that his Rangers side can become legendary if they stop Celtic’s 10-in-a-row march.
Rangers delayed Celtic clinching an eighth successive Premiership title this weekend by beating Hearts on Saturday but, with Neil Lennon’s side nine points clear, it’s only a matter of time before they wrap up the league.
The Hoops won the title in 1998 to deny their Old Firm rivals a 10th successive league crown, with Wim Jansen’s squad becoming legends forever at Parkhead.
Celtic are on course for a third successive domestic treble, underlining their dominance in Scotland in recent years, but Gerrard is hopeful that his Rangers side can use the guarantee of legend to stop the Bhoys in their tracks before they get the 10th.
However the Ibrox manager stressd that it will be impossible without the addition of ‘quality players’, adding that he’ll ‘keep an eye’ on transfer activity on the other half of Glasgow.
“The Celtic team that stopped Rangers’ 10-in-a-row is still regarded as being up there with their great teams,” he told The Record.
“That’s the way it is up here. It’s a tough challenge for everyone here because Celtic are dominating.
“They’re in a position where they can go and spend £9 million on a player. We’ll keep an eye on movements across the road, in terms of how they strengthen in the summer.
“But what’s important is that we’re in a position to challenge that. The reality is we need to add quality for that to happen.”
