Rangers star Alfredo Morelos finally scored again at Ibrox this weekend. Now his build to facing Celtic has begun.

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos began the season in red hot form, scoring six goals in his first six league games.
He was being hyped up as Rangers’ big hope, before the wheels fell off in a big game against rivals Celtic.
Rangers were looking to Morelos to fire them past their rivals, but the Colombian drew a blank and has been in a slump ever since that game back in late September.
That was until this weekend at least, when Morelos came off the bench to score his first league goal for Rangers since September 15.

He inspired a comeback win against Ross County, with Rangers’ winning their third game in a row.
Goals breed confidence, and combined with Kenny Miller’s poor display, it is time for Morelos to be given a run back in the starting line-up.
With a big fixture against Celtic at the end of the month, it is set up for Morelos to have a shot at redemption and make up where it all went wrong for him initially.

There is a crucial run of games beforehand, where Morelos can kick on and re-discover his goalscoring touch further.
If they are to stand a shot at defeating Celtic, Rangers can’t be relying on veteran Miller, and need Morelos at his best.
It is up to the striker to grasp the opportunity and set himself up for success over the next few weeks.
