The Rangers defender has become a first-choice pick at Ibrox this season.

Katic has been a regular in the Gers side this season, starting all but one of their Scottish Premiership matches so far.
With Steven Gerrard also selecting him for the majority of their European games too, it’s clear he’s a preferred option of the Liverpool legend right now.
What he’s doing on the training ground is clearly paying off.
He’s now revealed he is at the Hummel Training Centre almost every day with teammate Barisic, even on days off.
As quoted by The Herald, he explained: “I am at the training ground nearly every day, even my days off, and I enjoy it. Maybe if I had family here it would be different because I would spend some of my time off with them but I am almost alone here.
“I have friends in Glasgow and Borna and I are in a very similar situation in Scotland. He is maybe a little bit more relaxed than me but he is still a big professional.
“We like to come to the training ground every day to do recovery or gym work, it makes us feel better.”
Can Katic keep his place? Will Barisic become a regular?
With the signing of Filip Helander, it was assumed by some that Katic might drop out of the team for the most part this season. Connor Goldson has long been a number one pick of Gerrard’s and Helander is a current Sweden international.
The Croatian has done well to retain his place in the side, but with question marks over recent Rangers performances, he’s one of the players who is at risk of dropping out.
If selected tonight against Feyenoord, he needs a big performance to show supporters and his manager he should remain in the team for the foreseeable future.
A shaky display could see another get an opportunity.

As for Barisic, clearly he can’t do much more to show he wants to make it at Rangers. Katic has made that clear.
Again this season he hasn’t quite convinced Gerrard he’s a first-pick at left-back but, like his training partner, tonight could be a massive chance for him to shine.
